The kendrus are inteligent mammals who are physically similar to flying squirrels. Their society is similar to human civilization, being partially techno-industrial. While kendrus are capable of traveling quickly, they are generally content to stay at home. Kendrus, on the whole, hate otters, counting them as vermin. The otters are endeavouring to change this, as a kendru city lies along the only path between Otter Island and the Vinecrawler city of Izzer.
