Special characteristics: Kalans are the only truly marine otters, coming ashore very rarely. Their flippers are seal-like, and while they can stand upright, it is difficult, and walking upright is nearly impossible.
Oren's Comments: One thing I can say about Kalans. They love to talk. When I visit my friends Taylor and Gracie at the Denver aquarium, Taylor chirps up a storm.
